Hi all, we are migrating to NS7.1, the steps I use to create a software resource are:

    1. Manage Software - software releases
    2. Manage Filter - create filter - do not add resources etc at this point
    3. Manage Policies - create new policy - "apply to all computers exclude items not in filter" created in step 2.

The above process works but in NS 6.1 we could look at a collection - click on the icon "Policies referenced by collection" and see all associated tasks - then look at the program files from there.

In NS7.1 this does not seem to be as easy to look at and cannot be done from the filter (which we use like a collection) but only from policy dependencies.

If this makes sense is there anyway to see all policies (tasks) from the filter level?

    thanks, Cat

On each filter, next to the Update Membership button, is a button for Referenced By.  I think that might be what you're looking for.

Hi Zac yes I have tried this and I'm not sure if it is an issue on just my setup but I can move the mouse pointer over the resource target, cursor changes to a hand but click/ double click/right mouse will not open the policy directly. In NS6.1 I can double click on the task and open the programs settings directly.

I have added a screenschot of the differences

You are correct.  You can't actually get to the policy.  Sounds like another bug to me...
