  • 1.  Command Line Options for installing SEE Management Server on different partition?

    Posted Jan 04, 2016 08:51 AM

    Hi

Our server has 2 partitions.  One is pretty much full.  The other one (D:) has tons of space.  I've been searching for a command line reference guide for installing the SEE Management Server utilizing MSIEXEC.

    Any help?  Thanks!

    hi,

you can run the installation and at some point you will have to choose the destination of Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server (step 13 from below procedure):

please let me know if this is what you were looking for

I get as far as "Please provide minimum of 5 Gigabytes free disk space to setup the Management Server."  C: does not have 5 GB.  D: has tons.  I only get as far as double-clickint the .msi file and clicking "Run" before I'm blocked.

Also....let's say I have a program that can edit attributes within the installer file (like Orca).  Is there any particular attribute that I can change that will help get this installed on a different partition?

    Thanks!

OK, so, using Orca, I edited the table "LaunchCondition" and just removed the condition "(MINDISKSPACE=1)"...which allowed me to proceed and tell the installation to install to D: instead.

So...fixed?  Guess I'll discover sooner or later if anything squirrelly happened, but the program seems to run fine....

    Thanks!
