    Hi All,

I'd like to perform company wide upgrade and i wonder how to do it automatically from the SEPM console ?

I've already extracted DVD image Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.6_Xplat_EN_DVD\SEP
and wonder how to make a client install package for automated deployment.

So if i push the upgrade/update through the SEPM console, will this kicks off major reboot in my whole company ?

Any kind of suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    AWT

Frits upgrade the SEPM and then You need to do an AUTO UPGRADE. It will not require a   reboot.

You can use either of the two
    1. Upgrading clients by using AutoUpgrade

If you use the Upgrade Groups with package (#1 above from Prachand), you can give it an upgrade schedule as long as the current version of SEP is not too old (the article explains).  I believe that will help to scatter when the upgrades take place.

    Thanks for your reply Prachand,

Does this means that if I auto-upgrade the client from the server it will restart the whole company computer at random time ?

    Hi All,

According to: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/330686.htm it is assuming that the Client install package has been created already.
    can anyone help please ?

    Thanks.

You will want to upgrade the SEPM first, which will add the package you need to the SEPM.

You could also import the client package into the SEPM without migrating up, but it's best practice to have the SEPM updated, too.
