i had some compliance policies rules to block office attachements. i use the default group and have no others. so far so good...
now i need to permit for one address to receive this kind of attachments, i have created a custom policy rule, said delivery normally as action, put it on the top of compliance, but still receive the verdict that it is both delivered normally AND blocked by the rules down the list!
it seems to me that brightmail both evaluate the policies, ignoring the order...how can i solve my issue?
thank you!

Hello el pampa,

I would suggest that you put that user in to his own group and add policies accordingly. So instead of having him in the default group, create another group and only apply the policies that are going to apply to him. This makes the policies that you have to create much less complicated. And that way, in the future if you have any other users that you don't want the policy to apply to, all you have to do is add them to that group as well.

Hope this helps!

Same here.

I'm having the same problems and thinking about ignoring all MS Office documents hoping that SEP would do the work instead after the user opens or downloads the file from Lotus Notes.

Hi, You can create new group

Hi,

You can create new group by adding those specific email id to receive any kind of attachment, and move that group above that your default group.

Then you can create compliance policy for accept required attachement for the new group which you created and set action to deliver message normally.

let us know if required any more clarification
