This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi,
I have a strange incident where I cannot seem to get the compliance for a particular update to show up in the reporting.
I am on Altiris patch management for Windows 7.1 sp2.
The update KB2726382 just won't show up at all in the compliance reports.
If I run a bulletin report for MS12-066 it doesn't include the updates I need to report compliance for.
Is anyone else having this same problem? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi scott.c.walker,
Compliance report does not show superseded updates, it shows the latest applicable updates that are available
In your case KB2726382 from MS12-066 is superseded by KB2737155 from MSWU-657.
You may check it using Windows Superseded Bulletins report(All reports > Software > Patch Management > Software Bulletins > "Windows Superseded Bulletins")
Also you may check what concrete software update supersedes KB2726382:
1. Right-click on bulletin MS12-066 in PRC and select Resource Manager
2. Click on KB2726382(Lync2010-KB2726382x86.msp) update from the list "Software bulletin to Software Update"
3. Resource Manager for Lync2010-KB2726382x86.msp will be opened
4. Check field "Software Component Supersedes Software Component" - it is shown that another update "Lync-2010-2737155-x86.msp" is detected as superseding update
Note: You should have appropriate permissions to see required parts of Resource Manager.
Hope this helps,
Roman
Thank you Roman. I couldn't figure out why it would not show and I could not figure out if it was superseded. What is really strange is it was a security patch and it turned into a non-security patch.
