    Hello,

First af all, we are new in deploying updates by Altiris Patch Management.

Now we made policies to update some software on clients:

    7Zip 9.20

    Adobe Flashplayer 13.0.0.182

    Adobe Shockwave 12.1.0.150

    Quicktime 7.75

    VLC Player 2.1.3

When I want to check if my managed computers have installed those updates, I only see, that

    Quicktime 7.75

    VLC Player 2.1.3

is updated and following sotware products should be updated:

    Adobe Flashplayer 13.0.0.206

    Adobe Shockwave 12.1.1.151

    Adobe Flashplayer 11.9.9.0.170

    2014-04-30 15_10_20-mRemote _ confCons.xml.png

But I only want to see my delivery of my policies I created!

Why I do not see them? I also do not see 7zip 9.20?

    What I am doing wrong?

    Regards, David

    Hello David,

Patch compliance reports do not show bulletins/updates that are not currently applicable to any client.
Also patch compliance reports do not show superseded updates even if they are applicable.

In case if 7zip 9.20 is applicable to your client, but still is not shown in compliance report, please check 'Release Date' filter for this report. I think that 7zip 9.20 has been released more than 1 year ago, so probably you need to modify 'Release Date from' value.

If you want to see installation status of your delivered Windows software updates, please check 'Windows Software Update Delivery - Details' report. It is located at NS console > Reports > Software > Patch Management> Remediation Status folder

    Thanks,
    Roman

    Hi Roman,

thanks for your reply! I did not see, that I can set the value of Release Date. When I increase the time one year longer, I can see the 7zip 9.20 deployment package.

But I cannot see e.g. Adobe Shockwave 12.1.0.150 which is released on 13.03.2014 I always see Adobe Shockwave 12.1.1.151 which was release on 22.04.2014?!

If I change the Release Date to 21.04.2014 the Shockwave Update is not shown.

When I open teh delivery view, I only can see

    VLC 2.1.3

    Quicktime 7.75

    7zip 9.20

    Hello David,

To see the Compliance reports reflect only what you are deploying: Change the 'Distribution Status' from '(All)' to 'Active'

Additionally, if the reporting dates are set to display only the Compliance for updates that are Applicable/Vulnerable, and that are not Superseded.

Please check the Console > Software > Patch Management > Software Bulletins > Windows Superseded Bulletins and view this report to ensure the updates are not Partially Superseded / Superseded

    Hope this helps,

    Joshua

    Hello Joshua,

Ok, I changed the view to "active" and I also set the date to 4 yrars ago, but I cannot see Updates from Adobe

    2014-05-06 09_43_41-mRemote _ confCons.xml.png

So I am looking for Windows Superseded Bulletins under Reports.superseded.png

Do I unterstand you, when you say, I can only see deployed updates to my computers which are not superseded by a newer update? Can I change this setting somewhere?

Compliance reports will only show updates that are Applicable to the environment. If you do not see them with the 'Any' setting in the Vendor dropdown; try changing that directly to the 'Adobe Systems' and you should see anything Applicable for Adobe in the environment.

If Adobe Systems is not present in the dropdown on the report; review the following:

    1. Import Patch Data for Windows; does the Adobe Systems have anything checked enabled?

    2. If the Adobe Systems is missing, or renamed in this listing; review KM: TECH189223

If all is in order for the vendor data; work through the following:

    1. Work through KM: HOWTO60750 to ensure the clients are returning their Patch Inventories to be populated in the reports.

If you are still seeing adverse information in the Compliance Reports; you may want to contact support to gain assistance in troubleshooting this issue further.

Additionally, the Superseded report shows all superseded bulletins in that time frame and does not take into account the vulnerabilities in the environment, for it is merely an informative report on what has been superseded.

    Hope this helps,

    Joshua
