Hi, i have a question about the compression ratio that is showing in the tape.

Why sometimes say 1.5:1 and other is 1.4:1 ??
I have set compression rate by hardware.

Hello,
The average file compresses at a 2:1 ratio when hardware compression is used. Higher and lower compression occur depending on the type of files being backed up.

There is no such thing as an average file compression ratio. How much compression depends on the nature of the file.
