I have been doing an audit of a client’s AD and found about 8 computers that have the current SEP client installed but do not show up in the management counsel.  I’ve removed the client software and reinstalled it.  I get an email that it has been deleted and re-added  but it still doesn’t show up.

Yes the computer is a member of the domain.

Yes I am a domain admin.

Does it have the green dot on it? Is this a cloned machine?

It is not showing up, so no green dot. These PC's have been in service long than I have been here so I can't tell you for sure if they have been cloned or not.  The one pc I reinstalled AV on had the version of AV we are using and the most current signatures on it.

When you open the client and go to help > troubleshooting do they say they are connected to a server? or do they come up as offline or self managed?

If they come up as offline or self managed export a sylink communication file and import them locally to the SEP client to re-establish communication. If this doesn't work and you have a firewall between the clients and SEPM just confirm the correct communication ports are open between them.
