Computers are showing thier configurations as DHCP when they are static

  • 1.  Computers are showing thier configurations as DHCP when they are static

My computers are Dell Optiplex 280s with the Broadcom BCM57xx driver. The console and drivers are all udpated, but when I add the machines to the console they are showing up as having DHCP assigned addresses when in actuality they are static assigned. When I do a configuration update still comes up as DHCP regardless. I cant do a config update since it goes into pcdos and looks for a dhcp server.

Any help as to why this is happening would be helpful. I have tried everything I can think of.

    thanks

Upgraded the NIC driver on the PC.  If you use the old Dell Broadcom Drivers on the XP(I assume) machine then more than likely you'll get that result.  Just goto Broadcom and get your drivers for you card and then install them on you PC.  Then delete the PC's from you console or just do a refresh of thier configurations.
