Hello, can someone help me locate an article how to run the configuration wizard in the SEP Manager? I will need to know stuff like if I should shut-down the sepm services, etc.

    Thanks.

Sebastian, I'm not installing the Manager, there is an issue with connecting to the db and I was told I needed to run the configuration wizard. But before I do that, I need to know some basic things: do I need to disable the services? What else do I need to do before I run the wizard?

    Thanks.

Just run the wizard - it will automatically start/stop all required services = SEPM Service and if you are on 12.1 SEPM Webserver service as well - no need to stop anything here manually. Before starting the wizard juzt make sure you have the backup of recovery key from

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Server Private Key Backup

    Hi,

If you are not able to connect to DB probably Management server configuration wizard won't help.

However to run MSI wizard go to Start --> Programs--> Symantec --> Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager --> Select Management server configuration wizard.

Follow the wizard to complete the repiar.

I would suggest to repair SEPM through add/remove program.
