I have a AIX 5.3 master running 6.5.6 with a Linux 4.8 FT media server also running 6.5.6.  We use NEC HYDRAstor as our backend storage so we are using OST.  For some reason, the master now has "Configure Disk Pool" greyed out in the GUI even though we have diskpools and previously created them with the same GUI.

I agree. Check license

I agree. Check license keys.

If confirmed - check if Storage Server is configured/added. This must be done before disk pool can be created. In NBU 6.5, it has to be done from cmd. See Shared Storage Guide.

To determine if a storage server is already  configured, run the following nbdevquery command on the  master server:
nbdevquery -liststs

To create a storage server , run the following nbdevconfig command on the master server or on one of the media servers:
nbdevconfig -creatests -storage_server storage_server -stype server_type -st storage_type -media_server media_server

Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
