This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi All ,

I am working on the Oracle backup configuration , NBU client is installed on both the RHEL 5.7 X86_64 also the linking between the RMAN utility and NBU is also done , but I am confused on setting up the backup as our both physical hardware server A & B are in clustered environment and the Red Har cluster Name of the server is C , also both the server A & B are in Oracle cluster also named a D .

Please let me know in the policy , client tab which name should I need to set either C ( Red Hat Cluster Name) or D ( Oracle Cluster Name)

Master Server Version  : 7.5.0.4 / Windows 2008 R2

Regards,

hi,

you should use the name which always points the active node of the cluster.

if the client D always points the active Oracle database, and  that is the server the backup data resides, you can use the client D as a backup client in Policy config.
