    Posted Sep 19, 2012 03:30 PM

I'am new to my job and my boss is on vacation. He has notifications setup and I don't want to change anything he has in place but I want notifications setup just for me. The problem is that on the SEPM under Admin > Server > Edit the server properties > Email Server, he only has Server address and port setup. When I click Send Test Email we all get it.

Is there a way to setup an email account seporate from the Administrator's group?

Can I create seprate notifications without affecting the notification he has already set up?

Login to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

You don't need to worry about this step.

Create a new alert and only add your email. It will than only be sent to you.

Thank you all, your information has been very helpful but you have not addressed my conserns that the notification will affect my bosses notification.

I can only assume that his noification is setup within his personal profile so I cannot see it and the new notifications that I create will not alter his. Is this correct?

Correct. As long as you don't delete any that he setup, his shouldn't be affected in any way.
