Hello,

Running: Backup Exec 2010 R2

I'm trying to backup our BlackArmor 220 NAS to tape using BackupExec. I've successfully added NAS as both an IP and Name under user-defined selections, but when I try to expand the selection to select individual folders I receive a "unknown username or invalid password".

Things I've tried:

Added mutiple user names and passwords to both the NAS and Backup Exec to gain access

All accounts have been granted all access to RW and administrative rights with CFID enabled.

I've been able to map and access the drive locally with all above accounts

Really confused on why they would work outside of Backup Exec, but not in.  Am I entering the login information incorrectly in Backup Exec?

Appreciate any advice or thoughts.

Thanks,

Steven

Hi, I've tried.  What would be my user name?  My account for my system logon uses the AD admin account which is attached to all the other backups running on backup exec in the format domain\name.  The seagate doesn't allow me to use any \ symbols.

Thanks,

Steven
