    Hello all, NS server with 4500 clients. Steps to configure internet gateway server for serving internet clients. Do i need to have a seperate site server in DMZ for configuring internet gateway or site server inside LAN network can work for internet clients as well as LAN clients. Please help me out correctly. I have gone through white paper n admin guide for the same, but i cannot find where to configure site server. Please help me out ASAP.

    Krunal,

    No, you don't need a site server in the DMZ, you can desginate one of your internal site servers.  Here are the basic steps, you may have missed one.

    • That server must have HTTPS codebases and binding in order to serve Internet clients.  If on 7.5 SP1, this will be done automatically. If only adding one, pick a site server that has both package services and task server on it.
    • You must allow port 443 TCP from your Internet Gateway in the DMZ to the site servers you want to use.
    • Designate the site server to serve Internet clients.  In Site Management, expand Site Servers, Your server, then select "Internet Sites" below the server you want.  Add "Default Internet Site".
    • On your gateway, specify what internal servers you want to authorize as site servers.  This step isn't in the whitepaper for some reason but you add it the same way you add the NS, just select site server as type.
