    Hi,

I am very new to Altiris and I have setup CMS7.1 SP1 server recently. I am facing the challenge while configuring Patch Management.

I have succesfully installed Software Update plugin on my client but the challenge which I am facing is that I am not able to see list of patches in Patch Remediation Center

What i did is i manually downloaded the PMimport.cab from Interent and imported the same in System Job and Tasks -> Software -> Patch Management -> Import Patch Data for Microsoft.

I have even run the schedule once for which results were Success, but still I am not able to see the bulletins under Patch Remediation Center.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong here?

Can you please advise if i am missing any step here during configuration?

    Thanks

If you select the completed task, and click the details button does it show any further information on imported patches?

In Details it shows me below -

    Status: Completed

    Result: Succeeded

    Version: 7.0.1314.1

    Completed

Under Output Properties it doesn't show me anything

If you can hold out a few days I'd just wait on setting up Patch Management in CMS.  They are releasing a service pack any day now that will rehaul the whole thing it seems.

edit, looks like update is out

Hi Andrew - Thanks for your response. I have tried to follow the link which you provided but i am stuck in between.

In step 2 when i go to link http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH157435, i am not able to find the xml files in this link which has been suggested.

Is there any way i can get these files from different source?

    Hi all,

i just updated to Patch Management SP1 but while with the previous version the Import Patch Data for Windows was properly working, now it's not.

As i schedule the import task, it fails. And with a double click over the description i got

    "Overall result: license expired"

but the Patch Management license is ok, at least it was before the update to SP1...

    Any idea?

    Thanks

Matte2111- what does SIM say about your license?  If you're key is there and should still be good I'd contact support.

Also @Sally - yes we tried installing it.  We only have some machines in our IT dept pointing to 7.1 for testing at the moment (the rest of our environment is still on 7.0).

I installed yesterday and I liked so far. you need to run the clean-up wizard before you import Metadata.
