File Share Encryption

Here is the problem we are facing

Our CSS techs deliver a new laptop, set up the user in PGP and then commence with WDE.  THe tech does not wait to see it finish.  The user who is assigned the laptop can then click cancel.

We would like a solution to either remove the "cancel" button from the end user so that encryption process HAS to finish

OR

Figure out a way to encrypt the disk before delivery using a different user AND then add the laptop owner to it after the fact

I have seen the info on the Admin passphrase to get into a laptop that is already encrypted, but that is not exactally what we are looking for in this case.

We are using universal server v. 3.1.0 Build (860)

and desktop client 10.1.1 build 10 sdk 4.0.1

Sorry, I should have noted that these laptops participat in an AD domain with passthrough configured.

You can configure policy to automatically begin encryption once the user enrolls, inside the WDE policy there is a tick box for "Automatically encrypt <disk options> at installation"

There is also management options there to prevent users from decrypting (clicking cancel) so you can remove the option to allow end users to decrypt too

Both those options are inside Consumer Policy > Policy Name > PGP Desktop > Disk Encryption
