This issue has been solved. See solution.

Various docs/KB article seem to imply this, but as a sanity check:  Are SEP's firewall and intrusion detection components now supported on server platforms - specifically Windows 2003 and 2008?  Less importantly (but while I'm asking) what about Application and Device Control?

None of the above used to be supported and I just want to make certain before setting up a server package that could brick a server. :-)

Thanks,
Bill

PTP is not recommended.

Hello,

ProActive Threat Protection is not Recommended on Server, simply because it will increase chances of False Positives on the server.

Firewall Works fine and so does the Application and Device Control with it.

Incase, if you are carrying Sybase Power Builder Application, please make sure you don't install Application and Device Control (fix is in MR6)

Thats it.

Hope that Answers your Questions.

Proactive Threat Protection will not work with server os

Network Threat Protection will work with server oses but i will recoment you to use this feature only after a throuh test in a test environment since it ia firewall and it can block any type of trafic .You maty have to modify the firewall rules to achive this

 Proactive threat Protection

Proactive threat Protection has 2 components Proactive Threat Scan and Application and Device Control
on Server OS Proactive Threat Scan Doesn't work.
on 64 bit OS both don't work.

Network Threat Protection ( Firewall + IPS ) is fully functional on Server and 64 bit OS platforms.
