  • 1.  Conflicting information for Symantec Protection for sharepoint

    Implemention guide for symantec Protection for Sharepoint has conflicting information.

    Documentation version 5.1 states "Install Symantec protection for sharepoint console on the application server in the farm"

    v. 5.1a states: Install the Symantec Protection for Sharepoint console on each front end web server in the farm.

    It also states that each front end web server must have the Central Admin service installed and started.

    Please advise.

    The latest documentation states - WSS 2.0/ SPS 2003 Install the Symantec Protection for SharePoint console on each
    front-end web server in the farm.

    WSS 3.0/ MOSS 2007 Install the Symantec Protection for SharePoint console on each
    front-end web server in the farm.

    See page 28 in the 5.1.2 Symantec Protection for
    SharePoint® Servers Implementation Guide
