Confused on Endpoint Protection Licensing

Hope somebody can help clarify the licensing for Endpoint. We are about to do a purchase for a government unit of the following:

Govt Endpoint Protection 12.1 Per User Bndl Std Lic Bh Essen 12Mo
Part#: 0E7IOZF0-EI1GH

Is this a perpetual license that includes one year of essential support or a license that will expire at the end of one year. Additionally, after the first year of support ends, what would be the proper part number to use to renew the coverage? While we understand that the part number may change a year from now, we need to plug in the data for forward planning.

Thank you for your help!

The best bet would be to call

The best bet would be to call licensing. They are best suited to answer questions for Government sector products.

Give them a call at 1-800-721-3934 and select option 2.

To continue using the product

To continue using the product with updated content, you will need to renew. This will also ensure that if you will have access to Technical Support by phone if it is ever necessary.

Customer Care/Licensing is perfect to answer many general licensing questions but when it comes to actual part numbers and sales quotes, you will want to make sure to work with your partner or sales support channels.

Thank you for marking as a solution if you felt this response met your needs!

It should be read this way

Per User Bndl Std Lic Bh Essen 12Mo

Per user: Total no of users ( Computers / Users)

Bndl Std Lic:standard license with 12 Months essential maintenance

You should also have somethign like A < B < C; based on the quantity, its explained here

Hi TRovner, I am with the

Hi TRovner,

I am with the Symantec Enterprise Customer Care Team, a.k.a. "Licensing".

Symantec Endpoint Protection does require a current support contract to maintain eligibility to continue using the software. If the support contract expires and is not renewed, then the software would need to be uninstalled from the machines.

I cannot speak specifically to SKUs, but anyone in our Symantec Sales Team or your Symantec Account Manager would be happy to assist with getting the correct SKU.

If you are located in the Americas region, you can call 1-800-745-6054 for assistance. If you are a reseller yourself, you can call the Channel Inside Sales Team at 1-888-780-7962 for assistance with determining the correct SKU.
