Hello

I would like to connect to Media server using RPC over TCP/IP instead of RPC over SMB.

I see that there is an RPC interface(ebf5b2bb-09ab-415e-b89e-eb67c265f669 v1.0) for this already on TCP port 6106, but Console always uses RPC over SMB. I did not find a place in Backup Exec configuration where it is possible to change this. Any Ideas?

Regards,
Ansis

The way the Backup Exec

The way the Backup Exec console connects the Media server is hard coded, so it can not be changed.

Different tool to connect?

Thank you for your answer!

But why there is this Backup Exec Console RPC interface accessible over TCP/IP on port 6106? Is there a different tool besides Backup Exec console which might be used to connect there?
