connection error

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have just tried to connect the pcanywhere with enter the right credential but after enter the pasword no connectivity.

Same screen still display here. No error message.

Problem Description (1) 

Problem - PcAnywhere Connectivity issue

Error- When trying to connect any system using pcAnywhere, After enter the credential no response. Credential screen Hide.

Solution

Found that after replacing the “pcAQuickConnectDll.dll” file, it start working.

Step

Download the attach “pcAQuickConnectDll.dll” file according to your Version.

Go to the Path of pcAnywhere

  • "C:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere".
  •  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\pcAnywhere"

Backup the file of “pcAQuickConnectDll.dll”.

Replace the PCAQuickconnectDll.dll with the downloaded.

Note – If file is going access denied while replacing then stop the “Symantec PcAnywhere Host Service” and “Symantec Management Agent” Service.

What is the product you are using - Box or the solution?

What is the version of PCAnywhere?

Checked with the host computer - host service is running or not?

If you could give a brief detail, we can resolve the issue

Have you check the use credential password is correct?

remote access is availble on yhat credential?

restart the Symantec PcAnywhere Host Service.

Version 12.6

what is box or solution?

Service running fine. I have restarted.

user password is correct.

i have replace dll and it work.

12.6 is pcanywhere solution.    It is what is integrated with the Symantec Managment Platform. 

pcAnywhere Box is the full version that is stand alone and does not use the Symantec Managment Platform or Agent.
