    its trying to communicate with server on port 8014.

    on a command prompt  try this 

    c:\>telnet SEPMservername 8014

    does it connect?

    it not u it might be somefirewall in between which is blocking the connection(open the port from firewall)

    alternatively you can try the secars test as in this document

    Check the system status..

    Is it manage or unmanage???

    If manage then Green Led coming on Symantec Icon.

    If that desktop is in unmange(Server Detail not avail on client)

    Hi,

    check that client machine is managed or un-managed machine

    if it is managed check the telnet space server IP address space 8014 check for errors
