Connector Sample

How can I change the connector sample for Dell information. Now it looks to the system number and not to the serial number in our views. So I have to change this every time in the right Tag nummer from Dell.

I believe the sample rules are just that, samples (and can't be modified). According to page 58 in the CMDB guide, https://kb.altiris.com/article...?article=38242&p=1, it details how to create such a rule.

If you haven't found it yet, here's how to change the sample
1. jharings is correct and you will need to create a clone of the existing sample.
2. From your console go to View > Configuration > Server settings > Notification Server Settings > Item Tasks > Connector Samples
3. Right click on Dell System Information sample and select clone
4. Rename the item to whatever you want
5. In Step 2, Configuration Action, change the Parameter Name to "AeX HW Serial Number.Serial Number".
6. Also, change the base URL to show the same field in the ServiceTag parameter.
7. Save it and you're set.
P.S. I still haven't found how to get rid of the original sample or rename it, so it might take a little training to get your help desk people to use the right script.
