Take a look at this article -
Altiris KB49389
. This is slated to be fixed in the next hot-fix roll-up for v6 (R12) and SP3 for v7. However the article provides an immediate workaround.

Just saw that myself this morning with my daily KB subscription email. That's got to be the most useful part of the KB for me at least; I wish MS had something similar!
