Hello all,

I've battled with this issue since Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 release. I am running patch 2188 now and the problem still exists.

Basically, i want to set my clients preOS to another WinPE (apart from the default WinPE). I can either set this through the Tools
menu, choose Client and then select the default PreOS - or i can go to each individual machine entry and manually select which
PreOS i wish that machine to boot with.

The problem is, when i set the preOS to 'microPE' (which is what my WinPE is called) and machines show up in the console,
their default WinPE is still set to 'WinPE'.

This causes problems when you get a machine to rebuild itself, while it is under Windows XP. It will check the wrong WinPE 'WinPE'
for drivers that exist in 'microPE' and bail out.

Anyone experience this problem, or know how to resolve it?

James

It's a bug

This will be resolved in the next LiveUpdate to GSS2.5, a specific release date for which is currently not yet announced past the information listed here under the "Product Support Dates" tab.
