  • 1.  Console says it imaged clients but it didn't

Here' a strange one. I have 11 SX280s that I am pushing an image to. The client machines are seen by the console, they restart when I "Execute Task", then the machines shutdown and restart and boot into windows. I look at the console message for an error and there is none. It just says Task Complete with a little green checkmark in the icon. The log also says that all cloning operations were successful. However, no image is transferred.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the driver, but I just imaged 16 other SX280s with the same driver configuration and they imaged just fine. If someone may know what is going on, give me a holler. Otherwise I am going to have to go back a couple of images and see if I can find one that will work and then re-update it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Gary,

What version of Ghost do you use?

    Thank you,

Version 8.2.0.1117. I think this is lovingly referred to as GSS1, except for those who refer to it as the GSS from hell. Have any ideas?

    Hi Gary,

We didn't see anything like this happening in 8.2. In order to help us sort out the problem, can you please export the log? The way to do it is select View in the Console menu, then 'Task log' and you will have the logs for all the tasks that run from your Console. In the Task log menu select 'Log' and 'Export to file' - this will export the whole content of the task log to a text file. Copy and paste the logs that refer to the concerning tasks.
Also, can you run "ipconfig /all" on all the clients that weren't imaged and post the result?
At the moment, I'm interested to see the time stamp of the clone step and the MAC addresses of the clients involved.

    Thank you,
    Adina
