Currently have two completely seperate instances of SEPM going, with clients reporting repectively.

    Enviroment 1 is 12.1.6

    Enviroment 2 is 12.1.2

Need to consolidate these instances, looking to bring all the clients on Env 2 onto Env 1.

Currently, Env 1 has licensing for 180 seats, and Env 2 about 500 seats.

Need to have both enviroments online for a period of time, as the migration will span over a week or two; but also need to bring the licensing from Env 2 to Env 1 to begin migrating clients.

Can I have two managers using the same licensing, online at the same time?

    Any other reccomendations?

    Thanks!

    Kris

Yes, you can as long as you don't go over the total license count you will be in compliance. Aside from that you're good to go.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community.

While performing migration you may get over-deployment warning on Env 1 SEPM but can ignore because later on you will be adding Env 2 license into Env 1.

Multiple serial numbers/ .slf files can be entered into the one SEPM.

Once migration completed you just need to ensure the number of seats in your license file cover the number of SEP clients managed by all SEPM.

Let me know if need any help to perform migration.
