  • 1.  Content Download Problem in SEPM, infra is without any internet access

    Hi Team,

    I need your help here !

    We are using SEPM 12.1.4 in our infra which is seperated from any external internet.

    My SEPM's security status showing "Attention Needed" due to 'Content Download Problem'.

    We do not have any internet connection in our data center, we manually update SEP via .jdb files.

    Is there any way to remove this error, it should show green instead of red.

    Are you talking for clients or SEPM?

    If SEPM, I don't believe there is.

    For clients, on the home page if you click Preferences >> Security Status, uncheck "Percentage of computers reporting out of date Download Protection"

    Hi Brian,

     

    Its for SEPM, error showing due to non-connectivity to internet.

    Let me tell you what exactly SEPM showing:

    Problem: Latest Content not available

    Details: The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Server doestnot have the latest contents from LiveUpdate.

    Possible Solutions: Check you internet connetion to see if your SEPM server can access LiveUpdate server.

    However, we are updating it from .jdb files.

    This message can be safely ignored if only AV feature is used on all the clients.

    To avoid this error, the SEPM needs to connect at least one time to Internet LiveUpdate servers or LUA.

    - One solution is to upload the Clu-Prod directory from a LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA) Server to FTP server and sent instructions how to configure LUA in SEPM to download from this folder (Find Update Defs.zip attached to this KB)

    Yes you can install LiveUpdate Administrator Server for updating SEPM.
