    Good morning Every one,

I have windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, Dell Vostro laptop. I have installed Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.6200.754 on my Laptop under Self Managed mode. The Virus definition is upto date. Every thing is working fine as far as the Product is concerned.

This weekend I brought a new 1TB new USB HDD for saving personal data. I attached it to my office desktop PC and copied some data to the HDD. Then I also connected teh HDD to my colleagues desktop PC. Before moving to the HDD from one PC to another PC I make sure I run a full scan of
the HDD. After all the work I brought the new HDD home.

After connecting the new HDD to my personal HDD I tried to scan it for virus infection, thats when I noticed that I do not have an option to scan my removable media. When I right click on the HDD the context menu do not have an option to scan for Viruses. I removed my new HDD and try to attach a smaller 4GB USB Drive, same result. so I tried to right click on the C drive and same thing no context menu to scan C drive, I opened my document and then right click a folder,  I didnt see that option either. I also check the files inside the HDD.

The context menu seems to be missing completely. I had to run a full scan of the computer to scan the 1TB HDD. that took soooooo long as my local HDD was scanned and then the removable HDD.  Please advise how do I get the Context menu back, please help.

    Thanks in advance Guys !!!

on 64 bit machines, right click scan is not present, its by design

will be included in future releases.there is an idea already please vote to get those drives scanned open sep console and create a custom scan for time being  https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/idea/context-menu-entry-scan-viruses-64-bit-platform

    Hi Rafeeq

This is very Disappointing. in that case do we have a way run the full scan through the software ?
