  • 1.  Control streaming agent settings from AppstreamCfg.txt

    I am new to SWS and I have installed a small test environment running the new SWS 6.1 SP6 MP1.

    I have installed SWS agents and deployed a few packages, but now I want to update the settings in the AppstreamCfg.txt file on the deployed SWS agents.

    Is it possible to deploy a new AppstreamCfg.txt to my existing sws agent from the streaming server? And it a computer restart required for the settings to take effect?

    Local Appstreamcfg.txt settings are not centrally managed by the streaming server afaik. You'll have to use CMS or something else to: - stop the service - replace the AppstreamCfg.txt file - restart the service No need for a reboot for settings to take effect. Curious, which settings are you looking to modify on the fly?

    Thank you for your quick answer, I was just wondering how to control the agents. I was looking at the features and wanted to add the auto loading of denpendant layers. Would have been nice just to replace a file on the streaming server.
