I have problem when convert exchange 2012 to virtual, error log :
Please help me...
1. Make sure the RAWS agent on the target server is still running after this job fails. If not, you need to investigate why (could be AV blocking access);
2. Turn off your AV on the Exchange server and try the conversion again.
Alternative ways to access Backup Exec Technical Support:
RAWS agent still running and i do not use AV on Exchange but i use Symantec Mail for MS Exchange, do i have to turn off the Symantec Mail for MS Exchange ?
NB: I try convert to virtual from Backup
Mmm...OK that clears a bit up.
Nope, then AV doesn't play any role.
i backup Exchange is successfully, then the result of backup i convert to virtual. when the process convert, the backup exec still connect exchange server ?
if the convert process no connect exchange, i do not neet to turn off AV in exchage...
...check the link below around this:
Are you on SP1a?
I use Backup Exec 2012 Version 14.0 Rev.1796 (64-bit)
What is the OS on which Exchange is installed?
From the error in the job log it seems to me a problem in system state backup/restore. Could you please have a look at below technote and then try a backup and convert and see if it works.
What is the meaning "In the Value data box, type all binary paths that should be excluded from the system state backup operation" in this tutorial http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH136185 ?
How to know the path that shoud be exclud ?
To know if what all paths are causing problem I could find another technote, please have a look.
You would need to enable debug logs and look into them to idenfiy if any paths are causing problem like the example in the technote link.
