you can use the sylink replacer utility for SEP 12 to replace the sylink.xml to convert unmanaged to managed client.

My SEPM12 is installed on windows server 2008 R2 enterprise with SP1. I run sylink replacer on SEPM server but it was finished unsuccessful. it found unmanaged clients, copy sylink.xml to clients, but my client stay unmanaged after that...

What is other solution, to convert unamanged to managed clients, remotly ?

You need to manually do it , coz the location of sylink is different in SEP 12.1

or You can use the tool which can be run on individually, 

To replace Sylink, follow the Steps

1. Click on Start
2. Click Run
3. Type smc -stop in the run field
4. Copy the sylink.xml file from a managed client or from SEPM and paste under "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.xx.xx\Data\Config" it will prompt do you want to replace the file click on Yes.
5. Start the smc service
6. Click Start
7. Click Run 
8. In the run field type the following command smc -start                                                 

To replace Sylink.xml file on computer you will have to use Sylinkdrop utility. You will find this utility by default at two locations

1. Every SEP client will have Sylinkdrop utility under bin folder e.g C:\Program files\Symantec \Symantec Endpoint Protection \12.1.xx.xx\Bin

2. You wil find it under tools folder with original setup files . (CD's or downloaded files)

3. Sylink replacer tool will not work with SEP 12.1

thanks, but i cannot do it manuelly, there is too more computers with unmanaged clients. I need a tool which I can do it remotly, and tool which work with sep 12.1

You need to change the path, its mentioned here

just change the path for SEP 12.1 clients thats it.

are you using the sylink replacer for SEP 12.1? If not, open a case with Symantec support to get the tool.

Are the unmanaged clients 11.0.x or 12.1?

You can get either the Sylink Replacer for SEP 11, or Sylink Replacer for 12.1, but the version you use will depend on the version of SEP installed to the clients because the location for the sylink.xml file has changed. You can get this utility via Support, and you can open a Support case through MySupport.

All unmanaged clients are 12.1.

Where I can get utility Sylink Replacer for 12.1, does exist some location where I can download that utility (not through case via my support) ?
