This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi All,

Does anyone know if a Full backup will result in a different byte count to a Copy backup?  Obviously if the backups are run at different times you would expect a different byte count if data has changed - but assuming the data hasn't changed would there be a difference in the size of the backup?

Thanks,

Chris

FYI

 Hi

Full backup and copy backup will backup the same amount of data . Only reason we use copy backup is that it does not interfer with you normal backup policies.

Thanks

RE: Copy vs Full Backup - Difference in Size

To expand on Zaki's answer a little

A Full and Copy backup should grab the same amount of data, but a COPY does not touch the Archive Bit, while a FULL resets it
