correct /etc/vfstab settings for VxVM on Solaris 10 for Oracle 9, 10, 11 (non-RAC primarily...but RAC needed, too)
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
does anyone know the best settings for /etc/vfstab options to optimize Oracle 9, 10, or 11 running under Solaris 10?
I have a partner who has a large customer with ongoing issues getting things to stabilize for NBU/Oracle backups, and this is one area they want to explore.
Thanks for any and all feedback.

This should be answered by DBAs I think since they know what sort of database that is, it might be read intensive or write intensive or hybrid....
Options like convosync=direct, mincache=direct are seen majorly....
