    Hi,

    Possible cause: Due to limitation set in the SQL database for 'FG_CONTENT' filegroup.

    Possible Solution: Access SQL 2005 database and go to the semfosp5 database properties

    Select Files and click “Change Autogrowth for semfosp5_content”
    Check the “Enable Autogrowth” button and under Maximum File size “Enable Unrestricted File Growth”.
    Run the Management Server Upgrade Wizard again and should be successful.

    OR

     

    Possible Cause: The error "Could not allocate space for Object 'dbo.BINARY_FILE' in database 'sem5' because the 'FG_CONTENT' filegroup is full" is caused because of usage SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.

    This version has a DB growth limitation only up to 4GB.

    Because Symantec DataBase has 3.94 GB and auto growth is set to 64MB, this error will occur at every time when SQL Server will try to auto growth DB [3.94GB + 64MB > 4GB].

    The only solution for this error is or to use our Embedded DataBase or Full version of SQL Server(2005 or 2008).

    Possible Solution: Use our Embedded DataBase or Full version of SQL Server(2005 or 2008).
