My implementation involve multiple sites of FE group. When I deployed a streaming agent, my user complain the streaming is slow. One of the package got stuck at 99% for 2 days!

I had used the command appmgrcme -maps to map to another server group, it still the same, stuck at 99%.

I have no choice but tried to remove that package to re-stream, but when I use appmgrcmd - r 41148AD7BD.... (it's a long pkgGUID but a valid one because i copy and paste from the appmgrcmd -l). I have the following error message:

the package could not be removed because the external streamed files are not yet complete. Use -fds {pkg GUID} to open a session to complete the population of these files.

I then follow the instruction, issue the command appmgrcmd -fds 41148AD7BD.... . I got the following error message:

Data session not opened, error: 4

I need help on how could I remove a broken package.

Can you tell us what SVS version you are using.
This is something I saw before with SVS 3062.
Please let us know.

I am using Symantec Workspace Streaming Version 6.1.0.84

Need help urgently as this has impact my project schedule... :(

Hi we have exactly the same issue

we are using the newly released workspace streaming 6

so were in exactly the same spot, we cant finalise the load with the same error you have, we cant uninstall the client because of the partially streamed client.

we cant seem to do anything unless we can find a way to get rid of the broken package, 

symantec phone support giving us the run arround doing nothing but frustrate us. we have 3100 clients waiting for the rollout and symantec support gives no answers and want reams of forms filled in only to give the answer to rebuild the client machine.

THATS NOT A VIABLE ANSWER SYMANTEC!!!

Ok. I finally figure out how to do it the manual way.

1. Delete the registry entry HKLM\Software\AppStream\AppMgr\Apps
2. Delete the folder C:\_AC

There may be some files are locked when you delete the C:\_AC, but I just ignore those locked folders or files and delete whatever I could.

Then I could perform a un-install.

Hope this help to whoever face the same problem.
