Hey all

Just Migrated to 7.1 from 6.0.

I had created reports in 6.0 on "Count of Machines by Computer Model" - fairly simple report - it showed manufacturer, Model, and the count. Couble click would drill down to a list of machine names.

I also added a parameter where I could select what collection (now filter) to run the report against.

Well, after upgrading, I an banging my head trying to reproduce this report.

Has anyone created something similar to this? - ANY help is greatlt appreciated.

Can't you just clone/modify the precanned "Count of Computers by Manufacturer and Model" under Reports->Discovery and Inventory->Inventory->Cross-platform?  You can right-click these to get the drill down report but must edit the clone to get your filter selection in.  Perhaps others can help you with adding the filter/collection parameter since I'm also coming from an Altiris 6 server and relatively new to 7.1 as well.
