  • 1.  Countdown timer after running

    Hello,

    I have created new SWD task. From Program, I have selected 'After Running: Restart computer' and 'User can defer for: 120 minutes. I have also checked client policy xml file from client computer, that there's line:

    <AfterExecution action="Restart computer" force="true" maxtime="120" />

    However, when execution completes and countdown window appears to desktop, it starts always counting down from 60 minutes, no matter what I choose to 'User can defer for' setting of the program.

    What setting causes this?

    Not too sure, but do you have the setting set in the agent config mentioned here? https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=39575&p=1

    It sounds like an issue, but please confirm.

    Hello jharings,

    Thanks for your reply.

    Agent configuration policy > Interaction tab > Software delivery task notification prior to running setting is 60 minutes in our environment. And that is also maximum value you can set for it.

    But this setting as it says "notification prior to running" affects notification BEFORE execution? I'm trying to increase time before reboot AFTER execution.

    Any idea how to increase time user can defer reboot, over 60 minutes?

    What I think *that being the key word* is that an issue with the code is causing the two to conflict. You could confirm this by setting the agent config to nothing and see if your task then accepts the two hours.
