Hi everyone,

I'm a newone on Altiris and I try to know : how to create a dynamic filters to sort all model computers and brand into my company ?

I've already created filters by Laptop and Desktop. But now, I would like to sort more. Is it possible to create a filters with the brand and model of all worksations in my company?

As well, I would like to create a reporting with all brand and model of computers and workstations in my company.

Someone could help me ?

Hi Karim39,

There are multiple ways to create Filters and Report using the SMP Console and it also depends on the Version you are using if those options are aviailable.
If you are using Version 7.6 you can follow the instructions below to create those Filters and Reports.

Open the SMP Console and Navigate to Manage -> Computers

Under Filters right click and select New -> Filter

Add Filter Criteria

Select the Filter Criteria "Manufacturer" and "Model"

If you can´t find these Criterias - add them using „Edit Criteria List“ (see Screenshot)

After you have specified all Criterias you can simple save the Filter

You could also create a simple Report using the Filter Results Report

There are multiple ways to create Reports - you could also take a look at your
SMP Console -> Reports -> Discovery and Inventory -> Inventory -> Cross-platform -> Hardware -> Hardware Inventory Search report.

You could also create your own Report(s) using the Report Builder but that´s another story :).
