just got a new LG G4. installed Touchdown (with the license) and everything went fine.

on my G3 (kitkat) I was able to create a shortcut directly to my email and put it in the Apps dock. On the G4, I cannot figure out how to do that

I dont want to use the TD widjet, firstly because it cannot be placed in the apps dock and secondly because it opens to the TD home screen and then I have to fish through that to get to my inbox.

I just want a shortcut that opens to my email inbox directly. I have been able to do this many times on previous phones.

    Hi,

Go to the widgets section on your device and choose Touchdown for Smartphones or Touchdown HD (depending on which program you have installed) When you go to place it it should open a window to allow you to choose a shortcut to any of the Touchdown screens. Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

that does not work. It did in the past. now when I drag the TD widget to the desktop, I do not get the option to choose a shortcut directly to email.

if I pllace the app on the desktop, it also does not give me the option to create a shortcut.

there is a widget called Touchdown email count that will open directly to my inbox but it will not go into the App Dock which is what I want.

BTW I have Touchdown for Smartphones.

using the widget did not offer the "select shortcut" option for me using TD for Smartphones.  however, I installed the TouchDown HD (which I am also licensed for) and that DID allow me to get the diret shorcut to email set up.

so, my solution was to use the TD HD version of the app.
