    Hi,

I am with a client using SBG, they initially had the compliance for encrypted files to be tagged in the subject line and sent to the user. However, they have another program that filters and processes the email using a specific subject/title. Their contacts send encrypted attachments and the program cannot process these emails because of the added tag. I first tried creating a group for the recipients and a policy to allow the encrypted files to be sent normally (didn't work). Then tried replacing the action in the SBGs virus menu to do the same for encrypted files and it still didn't work. I also checked the content compliance and there is nothing in there that is about encrypted files. Did I miss something?

Do you have separate scanner and control center appliances?

If so, are they on slightly different versions?

They both are on a single machine and the mail server is Lotus Notes.

I checked the logs and made some screenshots which I also sent to support. I later realized when I tried searching for the policy that appends the message in the subject line that it is not made by SBG. The email game to the SBG that way. I told this to my client and instructed the one who sent the email to have THEIR policy changed. Everything's fine now. And when tech support gave their reply, they said the same thing.
