I need help with a little problem i have regarding streaming.
It’s more of a design problem I think rather than a troubleshooting problem.
The thing is, I am currently at a case with some schools in denmark, we support 50 schools appoximently and the way things have been until now they have had something they called “Børn & unge” menu.
As illustrated above.
Now we want to keep this menu with streaming.
Now here’s the tricky part, this can ofc. Be done via “pre-cache” icon, but we would like to avoid using this feature simply because each school administrate this link structure themselves, they can decide to place “google earth” in a separate folder as illustrated below.
If we were using the “pre-cache” icon feature we would have to create 1 package per school to support them creating their own link structure.
So, what I am looking for is to hear if it is possible to create this link outside of streaming, I can see that if I use the “pre-cache” function it creates the link similar to this
"C:\Programmer\Symantec\Workspace Streaming\Bin\exeForService.exe" -AppStream "admmorten/Menuen Start/Programmer/VLC media player 1.1.5.lnk"
But sadly I cannot just copy/paste this link how I’d like since it seems like it’s bound to some registry values also.
So can I create a link outside of streaming which starts a streamed application so I avoid having the icon in my package?
