  • 1.  Creating an DNS or Host File Change Exception - Cannot find this Exception...

    Posted Jul 15, 2013 04:04 AM

According to http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH164391 I should be able to add an exception ("Creating an DNS or Host File Change Exception") to get rid of the svchost.exe attempts to change the hosts file.

However, I cannot find this option.

I am running SEP Small Business Edition Version 12.1.3 (12.1.3001.165).

Should this not be available for the SBE edition as well?

    Thanks Pete,

    I've done that.

So I guess the answer is that Small Business Edition does not offer the Exception Type "DNS or Host File Change"?

yep, from teh screenshot SEP for small business edition does not have DNS or Host file change. You can put under exception using the logs and may want to create an IDEA.
