  • 1.  Creating Groups for server in Patch Management

    Hi Good Day,

     

    I am very new to altirist product. I have 300 servers in my company and i need to create 10 groups consisting of this server location. Meaning each group will consists of 30 servers. I need to do patch management for these servers. I would like to have assistance on how to create groups so that i can patch the servers according to the groups. Thanks in advance

    Hey Alley,

     

      Your best bet is going to be controlling this at the Patch Management Agent settings within the NS console. This way you can specify specific installation, restart, notificatoin variables per group of machines as you'd like. Once you create them at the agent level than you can simply leave the Patch policies targeting all computers because the Patch Agent settings will take effect for the groups you've specified.
