We have recently purchased a few Acer Eee PC's and are ready to create an image. We use Windows PE to download/upload our images. The Eee PC loads the Ramdisk correctly and seems as if it will work fine. Then, it goes into a loop of trying to contact DHCP and doesn't go any farther. I'm thinking that it has an issue with the fact that the Eee PC has a solid state hard drive. Is there a relatively easy solution to this? I was told that Deployment Server allows you to capture the image you have created onto a CD or DVD. IS this possible? If so, how can I do this? We only have three right now so this might be the better solution, if it is possible.

From my dabbling in PE, I think the issue is a network driver. I'm not sure what loads first, but the dhcp loop makes it seem like a network driver.

Ok... didn't even think of it. The Eee has a Realtek adapter while pretty much everything else we have is either Broadcom or Intel. I will add it to my PXE config and give it a try.

Unfortunately, I still get the DHCP loop.
