If possible I want to use my exisiting ghost images that I have for each model workstation / laptop in my organization and integrate them into my Altiris Deployment solution.

I want to use the ghost image as my "standard image" and then after I get that integrated into altiris, push it out to the different models w/n the organizaiton.

Reason I want to do this is so when we have major updates (or when the OS has major updates) I can update the image and then push it the image out to the 30 - 40 different workstations / laptops of that model in the organization.

    1. I need to know if I can use my existing ghost images -- if I can how to integrate them into Altiris from my ghost server.

    A. if not how do I go about creating an image for each of my models (e.g. an HP DC7700 - I have my standard applications / up to date patches and want to create an image -- how do I go about creating an image using the Altiris solution)

    2. I want to deploy the image I created to the 30 - 40 matching models w/n the organization.
    A. When I push the updated image out across the organization I do not want to change names / remove the boxes from the domain etc.

Thanks for the assistance in advance -- greatly appriciated.

The version of DS you are using does support using Ghost images. Take a look in the DS 6.8 SP2 Release notes here.
