  • 1.  Creating a new AD domain and moving the machines

    Hi all.

We have a SEP Manger 12.1 running on windows 2008 R2  and several laptops/servers (clients) connected to the sepm. All of them in our windows domain A (and of course the SEPM).

We are creating a new AD domain, let say windows domain B.

So I was wondering whether  we  have to modify something in our SEPM so the machines clients are able to continue receving updates from the SEPM?

the SEPM has to be migrated to the new windows domain B as well.  is it necessary to remove the sep clients and even the manager and then reinstall everything within the new microsoft AD domain B?

    Thanks

Shouldn't matter, they will be able to connect. Is anything about the SEPM changing, name or IP or both?

As far as they are able to reach SEPM ( any domain )

using the same port (8014) and IP they will be communication within any domain

if you are moving sepm to different server ( in domain B) then you need to follow this document
