I am trying to remotely creat an image.

I go to tasks, "New Image Create Task"

That requires a new Image Definition

So i go to Resources - Images - New Image

But the Image definition requires an already made image to be created.

I dont want to map it to an already made image, because I am trying to make the image in the first place.


Is it me or is Symantec running in circles?

I think you are doing it correctly. the Title of the window is Properties for a New Image - right? the status will say No file name. You need to specify the path to the file. Oh by the way the path does have to exist prior to the execution of the task, but the file does not have to exist. As long as you can hit the OK button you should be good to go.
