  • 1.  Creating a new status for assets

    We are running Symantec management console 7.0.7416 Notification server version 7

     

    I currently have several status' available for our assets Active, In stock etc.

    I now need to be able to create a new one of 'Bonded' as we have a new procedure when purchasing items.

    Can anyone please point me to where I can action this.

     

    I have tried in the settings area  and can see the other status in the CMDB functions in the right click menu but cannot clone them and customise.

    Hi Redtidings,

     

    Please go to: Settings > All Settings > Service and Asset Management > CMDB Solution > CMDB Global Settings
    There you can Add/Delete custom status'.

    Please note that if you assign a custom status to an asset, it becomes inactive and does not appear in the reports.

    If you want to see the assets with custom statuses in the reports, Symantec recommends that you create a custom status as a Location and assign the asset to this location.
